Freeman Marine appoints marine industry veteran Peter White as Operations Manager for the Gold Beach plant

Gold Beach, OR, May 26, 2015. Freeman Marine, part of AdvanTec Global Innovations and manufacturer of heavy duty commercial, military-grade marine doors, windows, hatches and portlights has added Peter White to its operations management team at the Gold Beach manufacturing plant. Peter will be responsible primarily for cast and fabricated products among other projects in this role. “Peter has a long, rich history in the marine industry and is well versed with our solutions as an end user and a business client. Prior to joining Freeman Marine, Peter was general manager at Palmer Johnson Yachts Ltd., one of AdvanTec’s key clients for many years. He brings that unique end-user perspective that will be key to evaluating and improving product features, manufacturing processes and new product development,” said Dom DiDia, operations director for Freeman Marine. “Peter has built everything from crew boats to luxury yachts and has a proven track record in managing engineering designs and quality control systems to complex contracts and class approvals quintessential to success in the business. His experience and manufacturing insight will significantly impact our ability to manufacture, deliver and innovate our offering,” added DiDia. A graduate in mechanical engineering, Peter has worked in managerial/leadership positions at renowned marine and shipping companies such as Austal, Palmer Johnson Yachts, Derecktor Shipyards and Broward Marine. Not surprisingly, Peter is passionate about boating and diving but also loves motorcycling and watching car and bike TV shows. Joining Peter in his new endeavor is wife Sue White who has been appointed as the new purchasing manager. Sue has also worked in the marine industry for many years in various office management and purchasing roles overseeing contracts, new and service builds and warranty work. Sue loves beaches, chocolates and football. Now grandparents, Peter and Sue love their grand kids and enjoy spending time with the family. Both Peter and Sue report to Dom DiDia and have relocated to the wonderful coastal town of Gold Beach, OR.
